If you are a priest, deacon, or bishop from outside the Diocese of Winona-Rochester, you will need to send in a letter of good standing/letter of suitability in order to attend the conference.
The letter can be requested by your superior and is required to be sent to us by June 11th.
The letter should include the following criteria:
- Written on official letterhead and signed by the bishop or approved designated representative (your superior in the community)
- Letter addressed to Partnership for Youth – Attention: Amy Cummings
- The letter should state:
- Name of individual attending
- That the individual is a Catholic in Good Standing
- That the individual has been through Safe Environment training, according to your local (arch)diocesan policy
- That the individual has an approved background check and clearance and approval to work with youth
Please send your letter to:
Very Rev. Will Thompson, Vicar General, Moderator of the Curia
He prefers to receive them as an email attachment to his Assistant, Rose Bengal, at:
2907 Jeremiah Lane NW
Rochester, MN 55901
Priests will check in separate from your group at the Volunteer and Priest Check-In table. Please look for signs in the Grand West Lobby.
All priests may attend the conference for free, but must still register with a group using a priest code.
Most priests chose to stay at the same hotel as their groups, and parking varies with each hotel. Priests coming just for the day can park in any city parking ramp and walk to the venue (most ramps are connected via the skyway). Ramp parking is FREE after 5pm on Friday and throughout the weekend in the city ramps.
All clergy are asked to bring their own alb and stole. Please make sure to bring a pruple stole for confessions and any other color stole needed for the weekend Masses. We typically celebrate either the proper of the day or a devotional Mass to Mary on Saturday.
There will be a secure location to store your items throughout the weekend. More information will be emailed to you directly before the conference.
We ask that all priests are availble to hear confessions during designated times throughout the conference. A Reconciliation schedule and contact information from our Core Team member who assists with Reconciliation will be given to you at check-in.
